ABSTRACT:

WTI worked on behalf of DJ&A Engineering to conduct transportation-related visitor research at recreation areas in the Gallatin National Forest in Montana. WTI developed and administered surveys to collect data such as typical vehicle occupancy, average length of stay, traveling with pet, and visitors attitudes toward transit (how likely to use transit, willingness to pay, etc.). The surveys were administered at the following trailheads: the “M” and Drinking Horse Mountain trailheads, four Hyalite trailheads, and the Sourdough trailhead. WTI entered the data into a database and provided a data report to DJ&A.
