Ute Tribe Public Transit Support

Project #: 4WB254
Start Date: 10/01/2024
End Date: 08/05/2026
Status: Current
ABSTRACT:

The NADO Research Foundation team will provide support to the Ute Tribe’s Transit System (their administrative/management staff) as they work to plan and construct a facility to house the vehicles and staff associated with their public transportation services. The “team” will also research potential funding sources and match requirements for capital projects such as a building to assist the Tribe with financial planning for this type of capital investment.

OBJECTIVE:

To prepare for the future sustainability of transportation services, Ute Tribe Public Transit is planning to develop a facility to house the vehicles and staff associated with their public transportation services. The technical assistance team will provide support, as needed, to Ute Tribe Public Transit to prepare for building planning and implementation.

Benefits: This project will benefit all tribal members, as the facility will allow for the safe storage of the tribe’s transit vehicles (buses) and will allow a safe space for the maintenance of the transit vehicles, as well as a space to conduct the business of the tribe’s transit services.
