With the rapid advancements of sensors, semiconductor technology, and software solutions, WTI is dedicating resources to solve challenging transportation problems using state-of-the-art computing hardware and AI tools. A focus area will be Materials and Automated Evaluation of Pavements and Bridges. WTI is creating a vehicular platform based advanced lab to include capabilities of high-end GPU based Deep-Learning workstations, 3D sub-mm laser imaging, inertial sensors, and related software tools to lead the world in automated survey of pavements and bridges in a rapid and one-pass manner.
