Deep Patch Field Instrumentation
Started: August, 2014 Ended: April, 2016 Project ID #4W5074 Status: Completed
Objective
The objective of this project is to monitor a newly constructed deep patch installation to better understand its long-term behavior and performance.
Abstract
This project will instrument a deep patch installation on an Emergency Relief for Federally Owned Roads (ERFO) project scheduled for construction in late summer/fall of 2014. This site was previously repaired in 2011 and failed shortly thereafter. This site was identified as an active site that offers a good opportunity for instrumentation to better understand the performance of the deep patch installation. The objective of this project is to monitor a newly constructed deep patch installation to better understand its long-term behavior and performance.
