MDT Process Improvements SOW Development
Started: June, 2002 Ended: September, 2002 Project ID #426579 Status: Completed
Objective
The goal of this project is to develop a mutual opportunity with the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) to improve maintenance operations; and address WTI’s mission by expanding the state of the practice. The project will focus on advanced technology and maintenance with a final proposal aimed at jointly improving the maintenance process.
Abstract
Preliminary discussions with MDT and similar organizations have led the WTI Director to identify maintenance process improvements, including automation as an area in which WTI can contribute. Any process improvement study must begin by documenting the current processes and identifying promising areas for improvement. This project will target this area with the goal of developing a proposal to MDT to improve maintenance operation processes.
