Survey of Employer/Employee Culture regarding Alternative Transportation Modes to Support Traffic Demand Management

Started: February, 2017 End Date: November, 2017 Project ID #4w6548 Status: Ongoing

Objective

The purpose of this project is to conduct a survey regarding support for commuting alternatives to the single occupancy vehicle (SOV).

Abstract

The purpose of this survey is to characterize the culture within the companies of five Bozeman (Montana) employers regarding support for commuting alternatives to the single occupancy vehicle (SOV).  This will include exploring employee willingness to use these alternative modes within their community.  The goal is to identify aspects of culture that can increase support and willingness to participate in these commuting modes.  Importantly, this study will seek to identify any misperceptions by employer leadership about employee culture that may be impeding support for alternative community modes in Bozeman.  In addition, the methodology of this study can also be translated to other communities.
