Objective
WTI will provide support on rural issues related to optimal sensor placement for critical Traffic Management and Traveler Information applications for a study by the California Center for Innovative Transportation (CCIT).
Abstract
A proposal was developed by CCIT in which the Western Transportation Institute (WTI) provided supporting material and was listed as a subcontractor for the project. The objective of the research was to develop optimal strategies and guidelines for sensor deployments for Traffic Management and Traveler Information applications in order to provide guidelines for Caltrans practitioners.
