Prevention Specialist II, Center for Health & Safety Culture

Tara Kuipers is a Prevention Specialist II with the Center for Health and Safety Culture (CHSC) in the Western Transportation Institute at Montana State University.  Tara holds a Master’s degree in Education & Counseling, and is completing her PhD in Adult & Postsecondary Education from the University of Wyoming. With nearly two decades of experience in facilitation, mediation, board governance, and organizational development, Tara is interested in the positive ways groups form, reach decisions, and make collective impacts. She was formerly a prevention coalition director, academic advisor, marriage & family counselor and community educator, and is passionate about creating meaningful engagement, education, and evaluation opportunities.  Tara and her husband Jarren live in Cody, WY.
