Public Lands Transportation Fellows Projects 2020-2024

NPS Emerging Mobility – Charlie Gould, Sept. 2020-Sept. 2024

The National Park Service (NPS) Emerging Mobility fellow will be working directly with the NPS Washington Support Office (WASO) Transportation Branch. In this position, the fellow will assist with automated shuttle pilot projects in Yellowstone National Park and Wright Brothers National Park, as well as, conducting emerging technology planning nationwide.

NPS Climate Change Adaption and Active Transportation – Pat McMahon, Sept. 2020-Sept. 2024

The National Park Service (NPS) Climate Change Adaption and Active Transportation fellow will be working directly with the NPS Transportation Planning Program and the NPS Washington Support Office (WASO) Transportation Branch. In this position, the fellow will assist with climate change and resiliency projects at Mount Rainier, North Cascades and Olympic National Parks. The fellow will also work on the Trailblazer pilot project, an innovative trail condition assessment and mapping methodology, using electric bicycles.
